ABOUT
Creating the best coffee experiences in the world while helping farmers achieve more value is what drives us. At The Coffee Collective, we roast daily and focus on sustainability from seed to cup.
OUR STORY
Founded in 2007, The Coffee Collective is to this day 100% owned and run by Peter N. Dupont, Casper Engel Rasmussen and Klaus Thomsen. With several competition awards in the bag, including gold in both the World Barista Championship and World Cup Tasting championships, we continue to explore exciting coffee experiences.
ROASTERY
We roast coffee daily and ship directly to wholesale customers, our own coffee shops, subscribers and webshop customers. And yet, freshly roasted coffee is just a small part of the equation.
ROASTER PROFILE
How did Coffee Collective come to be?
In 2007 the three founders, Peter, Klaus, and Casper, started Coffee Collective with the mission to create exciting coffee experiences and make coffee farming a sustainable business for the farmers. They started the company with the belief, that quality is brought about by three links: Farmer, roaster, and barista. We work hard to ensure that these three links collaborate, working towards the collective goal: Exploring coffee’s taste potential.
Tell us something about yourself non-coffee related:
We want to create a positive environmental impact on the world, so we are aiming to minimize this as much as possible. We are publishing all numbers regarding our coffee purchases and energy usage on a yearly basis through our annual sustainability report putting a focus on our initiatives all the way from seed to cup - just as much as our flaws.
Favorite food item to pair with an espresso drink:
We are so fortunate to have our own bakery to develop and create outstanding baked goods to pair with our coffee. The lemon wave, created with the trimmings of regular croissants has been made to compliment the juicy acidity of our Kenyan coffee, Kieni, which we've have worked with for almost 15 consecutive years now!
