“About this Coffee

This coffee presents a softer profile compared to previous years, offering a yellow profile of tropical fruit, tea, and honey. Hand-sorted to ensure the best cherries, the coffee undergoes meticulous processing including pulping, overnight fermentation, density sorting, soaking, and drying on raised beds for 15 days. This careful process results in a vibrant and balanced cup, reflecting the quality and expertise of the Gathaithi Cooperative.

About The Farmer
Gathaithi Cooperative, located on the slopes of Mt. Kenya in Nyeri County, was registered in 2000 and currently has 1,656 active members. The cooperative grows primarily SL28 and SL34, with smaller amounts of Ruiru 11 and Batian. The coffee from this selection is from the main harvest running from September through mid-January. The cooperative's dedication to quality and sustainable practices has earned it a reputation for producing exceptional coffee.
